TALLAHASSEE – Florida State women's track and field student-athlete Kaelyaah Liburd was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Performer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Great accomplishments for Kaelyaah, said head coach Matt Kane. She broke her own National record and a 10-year-old school record. Her improvement truly shows all the work she and Coach Davis have put in this offseason.

Liburd opened the Clemson Orange and Purple Invitation in record-breaking fashion for the Seminoles after placing second overall and the top ACC runner in the women's 400-meter. Liburd recorded a time of 51.68, breaking the previous school record of 52.26 that was set by Kayla Funderburk in 2015.

Liburd's 400-meter performance also marked her second national record. The British Virgin Island native currently ranks first in the ACC and third nationally this season.
