Three Seminoles Named to CSC All-District Team

TALLAHASSEE – Erik Schiessl, Justin Lyons and Mohammad Alkotop were named to the 2025-2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's Tennis Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Lyons ascended in his third season with a career-high 14 wins in singles play. The junior notched five ACC singles victories and helped the Seminoles down Louisville at the ACC Championship to advance into the quarterfinals. During his career, Lyons has been named an ITA Scholar Athlete in two consecutive years, while also making the ACC Academic Honor Roll last season.
Schiessl, part of FSU's first-ever ACC title team in 2024, finished his third season with a 13-11 overall record and a win streak of three straight matches. Schiessl made an appearance at the NCAA Tournament in the fall after being named the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Champion alongside teammate Luis Felipe Miguel. The pair knocked off No. 69 Marek Pazder and Mark Havlicke of FAU.
Alkotop completed his first season with Florida State with a 16-11 overall record. Alkotop was named the Bedford Cup Doubles Champion alongside teammate Azariah Rusher, before tallying a doubles record together of 10-6 during the spring. The junior saw a win streak of five straight singles victories to start his spring campaign.
