TALLAHASSEE – Florida State men's basketball standout Lajae Jones was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

Jones spent the 2025-26 season at Florida State and emerged as one of the Seminoles' top performers on both ends of the floor.  He played in all 33 games while making 31 starts and averaged 12.7 points per game, the third-highest average on the team.  Jones also led FSU in total rebounds (189) and blocked shots (33).

The 6-foot-7-inch guard elevated his play during postseason competition, earning All-ACC Tournament Second Team honors after averaging 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in contests against California and No. 1-ranked Duke.

One of the most memorable performances of his collegiate career came in Florida State's victory over Georgia Southern at the Donald L. Tucker Center.  Jones scored a career-high 36 points while tying the school record with 10 made 3-point field goals.

Jones became the 52nd Seminole in program history (12th in the last 10 years) to get drafted.  He now joins the Warriors, an organization in which FSU head coach Luke Loucks spent six seasons.
