FSU Places 308 Student-Athletes on ACC Academic Honor Roll

TALLAHASSEE – Highlighted by NCAA 60-meter and 100-meter national champion Shenese Walker, ACC Pitchers of the Year Jazzy Francik and Wes Mendes and Big 12 Beach Volleyball Pair of the Year Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig, Florida State placed 308 student-athletes on the 2025-26 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Florida State's national champion women's soccer team had 16 student-athletes recognized on the ACC Academic Honor Roll, a number matched by the ACC indoor champion men's track and field team and the Big 12 champion beach volleyball team. Kayleigh Clark from women's swimming and diving earned ACC Academic Honor Roll recognition for the sixth time, while women's lacrosse attacker Marleigh Sanders is on the team for the fifth time and 20 student-athletes made their fourth appearance on the conference's honor roll.
FSU's list of honorees also includes Academic All-Americans Duce Robinson, an All-American wide receiver on the football field, Tommaso Baravelli, a 200-meter and 400-meter relay All-American swimmer, and Durish and Koenig, who also earned first-team All-American accolades.
"This is a tremendous honor for the 308 members of the ACC Academic Honor Roll," Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said. "Our student-athletes continue to raise the bar while accepting the challenge of excelling in the classroom, on the field and as part of the community. Florida State is one of the top public universities in America, offering an unmatched combination of elite academics and athletics. The alignment and support from university leadership, academic support staff and athletics have led to record performance in the classroom across multiple metrics, showcasing that academic excellence is an expectation rather than the exception. I'm so proud of our student-athletes for embracing the complete experiences available to them at Florida State."
The ACC Academic Honor Roll recognizes all student-athletes who were members of an intercollegiate team while maintaining at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the academic year. Florida State's 308 honorees continue a recent stretch of recognitions for success. Over the two semesters in the 2025-26 academic year, FSU student-athletes twice broke the department's cumulative GPA record for a semester. The fall 2025 GPA of 3.333 was a record that lasted only until the spring 2026 GPA of 3.348. Last year marked the first time Florida State student-athletes earned at least a 3.333 GPA in both semesters of an academic year. After the spring 2026 semester, Florida State's cumulative GPA as a department stands at 3.385, which is also the highest in department history.
Florida State also earned a school-record score of 993 in the NCAA's multi-year Academic Progress Rate report released in May, with five programs earning a perfect score of 1,000 in the multi-year report and 12 teams posting a perfect single-year APR score in the 2024-25 academic year.
