Robinson Named to Wuerffel Trophy Watch List

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State senior wide receiver Duce Robinson added to his preseason honors Tuesday when he was named to the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, recognizing players that lead through community service while excelling in the classroom and on the field.
Robinson is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, is a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and is a preseason All-American.
The Wuerffel Trophy is college football's premier community service honor. In September, 11 student-athletes from the watch list will be named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and become semifinalists for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.
Recognized with the Bill McGrotha Award following the 2025 season for his humanitarian efforts, Robinson raised over $10,000 for Special Olympics of Florida during the Duce Robinson Charity Pickleball Classic last month.
"I've always felt a kinship to the Special Olympics," Robinson said at ACC Kickoff in July. "Since high school, a lot of our managers had been part of the Special Olympics and I know how much sports means to them. Seeing that, growing up around that, made me close to it."
A Phoenix native, Robinson is actively involved in the Tallahassee community, participating in community initiatives including Next Level Flag Football, an organization that serves kids through seventh grade with the goal of helping children learn skills and develop a passion for football.
Robinson also served as one of Florida State's representatives during FSU Day at the Capitol and was a panelist for Horizons Unlimited, speaking to first-generation students for a panel titled "Success through Adversity: Strategies through Athletics." Additionally, Robinson participated in Literacy Week at Astoria Park Elementary in January, partnered with the Keep Climbing Family Foundation for a winter coat drive at Astoria Park and donated and distributed turkeys with Legends Hospitality and former Seminole Micah Pettus for Thanksgiving last year.
On the field, Robinson was a first-team All-ACC wide receiver and third-team All-American in 2025, catching 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. He was twice named ACC Receiver of the Week and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, named after Florida State All-American Fred Biletnikoff and presented to the nation's best receiver.
Robinson would join Dillan Gibbons in 2022 as Wuerffel Trophy winners from Florida State.
Robinson and the Seminoles will open the 2026 season August 29 at 7:00 p.m. against New Mexico State inside Doak Campbell Stadium.
