Michael Alford Named to FBS AD Association Board

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State University Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford has been named to the Board of Directors of the FBS Athletics Directors Association, providing Florida State with a voice in an organization representing athletics directors across the Football Bowl Subdivision.
The FBS AD Association brings athletics directors together to collaborate on the major issues shaping college athletics, including governance, student-athlete support, the evolving financial model, and the future of the FBS.
"It is an honor to serve alongside colleagues from across the country at such an important time for college athletics," Alford said. "The decisions being made today will have a lasting impact on our student-athletes, institutions, and the future of college sports. I look forward to contributing Florida State's perspective while working collaboratively to find solutions that strengthen college athletics nationally."
Alford's board service begins during the Association's 2026-27 meeting cycle, which includes board meetings and national gatherings throughout the academic year.
