Kyle Washington is a member of Seminole head coach Luke Loucks’ first staff at Florida State as the director of video and scouting.
Washington was an assistant coach at Iona in 2024 and 2025 and was the director of player development under Iona head coach Tobin Anderson in 2025. He served on the staff at Loyola University Chicago during the 2023 season under head coach Dew Valentine, where he was utilized for his player development skills and scouting ability.
Washington was a graduate assistant at Cincinnati in 2021-22, helping with player development and video. Washington returned to Cincinnati, his alma mater, following a professional playing career that included time with Yalova in Turkey, the Windy City Bulls and Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G-League and the Boca Juniors in Argentina.
Washington played his first two college seasons at North Carolina State University under Mark Gottfried and his final two at Cincinnati under Mick Cronin. With the Wolfpack, he reached the NCAA tournament both years with a second round appearance as a rookie and a sweet 16 appearance as a sophomore. As a Bearcat, Washington helped lead his squad to a 61-11 overall record including a school record 31 wins as a senior in 2017-18. Cincinnati reached the second round in the NCAA tournament both seasons. He scored 1,275 career points in 142 games played.
In the 2016-17 season as a junior he secured all-conference honors and was NABC all district team. Among some accolades Washington was named All-tournament team following his participation in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off.
In the 2017-18 season Washington was team captain along with Gary Clark on the 31-5 Cincinnati Bearcats. He helped secure both The American Athletic Conference regular season and conference tournament titles, as his squad was ranked as high as fifth in the nation in the AP Poll. Washington secured conference championship all-tournament team honors as he helped Cincinnati to the number 2 overall seed in the south region of the NCAA tournament.
Washington was also named to the 2018 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament all selection team competing among the best seniors in college basketball.
Washington earned his degree from Cincinnati in 2018 in Interdisciplinary Studies.
