Ryan Shnider is a member of Luke Loucks’ first Florida State staff as the assistant director of basketball operations. His responsibilities include assisting the Seminoles’ coaching staff in the areas of team operations, scouting, and video operations.

Shnider has been a member of the basketball staff at Florida State since 2019 when he began his collegiate basketball career as a team manager. He helped the Seminoles win the 2020 ACC regular season championship and helped the Florida State reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. During the 2020 season, Shnider worked with  Patrick Williams and Devin Vassell who became the first pair of players picked in the NBA Draft Lottery in school history.

During his time as the Seminoles’ head manager and then as a graduate assistant manager, Shnider handled a variety of duties, including recruiting, analytics, scouting, and game planning. Shnider excelled as the overall manager of the Leonard Hamilton basketball camp from 2021-24. Shnider helped develop the Leonard Hamilton team camp into one of the top camps in the southeastern United States.

Shnider has also worked summer basketball camps at both Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton.

Shnider has earned three degrees from Florida State University. He completed a double major program in finance and sport management as an undergraduate in 2024 and earned his master’s degree in sport management in 2025.

Shnider, a native of Wellington, Fla., is the son of Tammi and Steve Shnider. He has one brother, Alex.
