Schiessl and Karpenschif outclassed #71 Rudy Quan and Aadarsh Tripathi from UCLA 6-0, 6-1.
The duo faced a tough challenge against the highly-ranked #7 Sebastian Abboud and Piotr Pawlak from Texas Tech, but pulled out a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) win.
