Outdoor T&F:
Opened the outdoor season with a fourth place finish and a new personal best in the discus throw (49.41m) at the Terry Long FSU Relays...Placed sixth in discus throw (48.94m) at the Florida Relays...Earned a new personal best and finished eighth in the discus throw (50.02m) at the LSU Alumni Gold.
2023-24 Season
Outdoor T&F:
Won first place in the Discus Throw (45.27m) at the Bob Hayes Invitational...Placed seventh in Discus Throw (45.9m) and set a new personal best in Hammer Throw (48.54m) placing fifth at the FSU Relays... Placed 14th in Discus Throw (45.98m) at the Pepsi Florida Relays... Placed 14th in Discus Throw (45.89m) at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational...Placed 13th in Discus Throw (43.84m) at the East Coast Relays. .May 9-11 – ACC Outdoor Championship – Placed 12th in Discus Throw (47.92m) setting a new personal best.
Indoor T&F:
Finished 11th in the Weight Throw (13.24m) at the Clemson Invite.
Personal
In high school, Avin was an All-American, winning third in Discus Throw in the Florida 3A State Championships. He also placed first in Discus Throw at the 3A Region 4 and 3A District 15 meets. Avin graduated with his AICE diploma...played football and was on the drum-line. He's a mechanical engineering major who can solve Rubik's Cubes with ease..born on February 27, 2003.
