FRESHMAN (2022):

Led Florida State with a .320 batting average, 40 runs scored, 70 hits, 19 doubles and 118 total bases…was hit by a pitch 23 times, most in the ACC and one shy of the FSU single-season record…led FSU with a .436 on-base percentage…most hits and doubles for an FSU freshman since DJ Stewart in 2013…bookended his freshman season with 10-game hitting streaks and started all 59 games…first Seminole since Taylor Walls in 2015 to start every game his freshman season…ended his freshman campaign with nine home runs, including one against UCLA in the NCAA Regional…hit a walk-off solo home run in the 17th inning to beat NC State 6-5, the second-longest game in FSU history…hit three doubles in a game against Wake Forest…had a pair of four-hit games, against NC State and Wake Forest…had two four-RBI games, against Louisville and NC State…scored three runs twice, vs. NC State and at North Carolina…was hit by a pitch twice in four different games.


Graduated from Florida Virtual School and played baseball for Central Point Academy in Kissimmee…No. 323 on the Perfect Game national rankings and No. 47 in the state of Florida…diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 3…grew up playing tennis…parents are Jimmy and Mila Ferrer…brothers Gabriel and Diego…dad played professional basketball and grandfather played baseball and basketball for the Cuban national team…majoring in sport management…born on December 27, 2002.
