Autumn Thomas was promoted to video manager for Florida State women’s basketball in September 2026 after spending the last two seasons as a student manager.
As the team’s video manager, Thomas captures film of practices and games from different angles and utilizes software to code and organize the drills, possessions and other trends. In her previous role as a student manager, she managed equipment and uniforms for the team as well as assisted in the setup and breakdown of practices. Thomas also provided operational support during games, recruiting visits and travel preparations.
Thomas is currently an undergraduate research assistant with the FSU Department of Psychology in addition to her responsibilities with the team. She contributes to professor-supervised research projects through data collection and analysis, conducting literature reviews and managing participant interactions during studies. Her work has involved subjects such as artificial intelligence and human-embodied cognition, sound-shape symbolism and temporal dynamics of conversation.
Thomas previously served as a member of the FSU Inter-Residence Hall Council, holding the position of historian for DeGraff Hall during the 2025-26 academic year. Here, she helped to plan and execute community events for student residents and design promotional materials to facilitate event attendance. Thomas was also a member of the FSU Student Foundation, helping with fundraising initiatives for student scholarships and university programs, such as FSU’s Great Give.
A native of Fort Pierce, Fla., Thomas is currently a junior pursuing a dual degree in psychology and sports management with minors in communications and business from Florida State University.
