A veteran athletics administrator with broad leadership and operational experience, Ben Zierden has served in numerous roles throughout his 27-year career at Florida State University and is in his third season as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Capital Projects in 2025.

Zierden provides executive leadership for all capital projects, facility management, event operations, athletic grounds and turf management. He also serves as sport administrator for women’s soccer and on executive and senior leadership teams for both FSU Athletics and Seminole Boosters, Inc.

Zierden oversees all aspects of capital projects from strategic planning, design and project management through construction, closeout and operational implementation. He has overseen more than $400 million in completed projects, including the renovation of Doak Campbell Stadium and construction of the brand-new Dunlap Football Center. He enables collaboration between FSU Athletics and Seminole Boosters on project funding while providing leadership throughout project management as a liaison with campus partners, design professionals, contractors, owner’s representatives and consultants

Prior to his current role with FSU Athletics, Zierden served nine years with Seminole Boosters, Inc., first as Vice President for Annual Giving and then as Senior Vice President for Operations. He was involved in annual fund marketing, database management, facility operations, game day operations, premium seating management, parking and traffic operations, food and beverage operations and premium hospitality.

Zierden began his career in college athletics as a graduate assistant in the FSU Athletics Ticket Office in 1999. During his 14 years with the ticket office, he advanced to the role of Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Sales and Operations before his move to Seminole Boosters in 2014.

A two-time graduate of Florida State University, Zierden earned his bachleor's degree in sport management in 1998 and completed his master's degree in sport administration in 2001. Zierden and his wife, Kim, have two daughters, Addison and Emory.
