Eunice Hernández has served as an athletic trainer at Florida State since September, 2003, and is in her 23rd season in 2025-26. She has served as the athletic trainer for the softball team since 2008.

From 2003 until 2006, Hernández served as the athletic trainer for the track & field and cross country programs. During that time, she helped the team to two outdoor track and field national titles (2006 & 2007), three East Region titles, four ACC indoor titles and three ACC outdoor titles with the men’s team. Hernández was involved in the facility design for the athletic training room housed within the Mike Long Track fieldhouse.

During the 2007 season, Hernández worked with the FSU soccer program that advanced to the College Cup final for the first time in team history.

Hernández began working with the softball team in 2008. Her tenure has included ACC titles, numerous NCAA Regional and Super Regional appearances and trips to the College World Series, highlighted by a national title in 2018. From 2019-2021, Hernández spent two seasons with the swimming and diving teams before returning to softball in the fall of 2021.

Hernández also was the head athletic trainer for the women’s golf team from 2003-2018.

Prior to arriving at FSU, Hernández attended graduate school at the University of Miami (FL) concurrently serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the football and swimming and diving programs. She was on the staff for the 2002 Rose Bowl National Championship as well as the 2003 Fiesta Bowl National Championship.

Hernández completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Barry University (Miami Shores, Fla.) in 1999. She is a native of Miami.
