Hannah Hampton is in her first season as the athletic trainer for Florida State’s women’s basketball team in 2025-26.
Hampton came to FSU after two seasons at New Orleans, where she was the athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team. She served as the NCAA Mental Health Coordinator and was a member of the Ochsner Athletic Training Outreach Program Mental Health Committee and the Privateers Athletics Care Team. Hampton also assisted with rehab and performance services to NBA and overseas professional basketball players during non-contract periods. She also assisted with UNO’s beach volleyball program.
From 2021-23, Hampton was the assistant football athletic trainer at McNeese State. She was the medical liaison when hosting Southland Conference tournaments and also worked with the women’s basketball team for several months.
Hampton was at Southeastern Louisiana from 2019-21. She spent her first season as the athletic trainer for the women’s basketball and tennis programs and the spirit teams and assisted with men’s basketball. In her second season, Hampton was the athletic trainer for softball and football.
A 2019 graduate of Southern Mississippi with a bachelors degree in athletic training, Hampton earned her masters degree in health and kinesiology with concentrations in sport psychology, exercise physiology and sport management from Southeastern Louisiana in 2021.
From Quitman, Mississippi, Hampton is currently working on getting her independent research report published on stress and injury with coping and COVID considerations.
