Jan-Michael Lowe

Jan-Michael Logan Lowe serves as a member of the Florida State University men’s basketball program, bringing a strong background in playing, coaching, and player development to the Seminoles.

A native of Port Saint Joe, Florida, Lowe began his basketball career as a five-year starter at Franklin County and Port Saint Joe High School, where he scored more than 1,500 points during his high school career. Following high school, he continued his development at TaylorMade Prep Academy before transferring to the University of West Florida, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in General Studies.

Lowe began his coaching career at just 19 years old, joining the Port Saint Joe High School basketball program as an assistant coach. In 2025, he took over as the program’s head coach and made history by leading Port Saint Joe to the first undefeated regular season in program history.

Lowe’s basketball background is also rooted in his family. His father, Joe Lowe Jr., played golf for Georgia Tech University, while his grandfather, Joe Lowe Sr., played basketball for Mercer University before coaching basketball at Woodward Academy and baseball at Eckerd (St. Pete)

Lowe’s long-term goal is to become a high-major Power 4 head coach, building a career centered on player development, leadership, and winning basketball.
