  • Title:
Assistant Athletics Director of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning
Johnny Fabrizius was hired as Florida State's assistant athletics director of Olympic sports strength and conditioning in March of 2025.

Fabrizius, who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), joined the FSU staff after spending more than three years on staff with Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. He was the franchise's head of sport science and end-stage rehabilitation for three seasons. In that role, Fabrizius led the development and implementation of sport science strategies with a focus on optimizing player performance and recovery while also designing and executing individualized end-state rehabilitation programs for players returning to competition. He utilized advanced metrics and collaborated with medical and coaching staffs to enhance preparation and injury prevention.

For the 2022 season, Fabrizius was the head of sport performance and science for Real Monarchs, an MLS Next Pro affiliate of Real Salt Lake. His responsibilities included oversight of Catapult GPS data, supervising data management and overseeing the development of speed, agility and physical development while also managing return-to-play protocols.

Fabrizius gained collegiate experience as the assistant director of sport performance at the University of Tennessee from 2017-22. There, he worked directly with women's soccer, women's golf and women's tennis as the teams combined to advance to the postseason six times and the soccer team claimed the 2021 SEC Tournament title. Fabrizius oversaw Catapult GPS data interpretation for the programs while also implementing speed and conditioning and additional sport science initiatives.

Fabrizius earned his bachelor's degree in sport exercise and psychology from Dakota Wesleyan in 2016 and completed his master's in kinesiology and exercise science from Tennessee in 2017. While pursuing his master's degree, Fabrizius was the director of strength and conditioning for UT's Army ROTC program.
