Kellye Baum joined Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) in 2021 as an Office Assistant, bringing over 20 years of experience as a classroom instructor in general and special education.
 
Before joining FSU, Baum taught in the Texas K–12 system, serving as an inclusion teacher and case manager in science and math. She also coached cheerleading and supported students in job training and life sciences.
 
Baum supports academic services through instructional design and the creation of learning materials. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University and completed her Master of Science in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at Florida State University in May 2025.
 
Kellye and her husband, Jeb, have two adult children.
 
Baum is a native of Amarillo, Texas.
