Lainie joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services staff in May 2025. She began her career with SAAS as an Academic Fellow before transitioning into her current full-time role as a Learning Specialist.

Before joining the fellowship program, Lainie served as a Graduate Assistant in Academic Services at Gonzaga University, where she worked primarily with the Men’s and Women’s Rowing programs and assisted with the peer tutorial program.

During her time at Gonzaga, she also earned her master’s degree in Sport and Athletic Administration. Prior to Gonzaga, she completed her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Montana.

Lainie is a native of Corvallis, Montana.
