Maddy Branning is in her second year with Florida State's public relations office and currently serves as the primary contact for lacrosse and secondary contact for women's basketball.
Branning began her time in the athletics department as a public relations intern in 2025 and was promoted to her current role of public relations assistant in October of 2026. In her new position, she is responsible for managing public relations strategy, content planning and deliverables, statistics and external media requests. While she was an intern, Branning assisted the public relations staff through game day responsibilites for multiple sports, primarily soccer and softball, as well as written content and records updates.
In addition to her experience in the public relations office, Branning spent the summer of 2026 as a communications intern with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, and was a media relations intern with the Acadiana Cane Cutters, a summer wood bat team in the Texas Collegiate League, in 2024. She also was a writer for the student newspaper, the FSView & Florida Flambeau, and served as an editor for the student radio station, WVFS V89 Sports, during her time as an undergraduate student. She gained additional experience through multiple broadcast production roles with Seminole Productions and as a play-by-play announcer for Tallahassee State College athletic events.
Branning earned her bachelor's degree in media & communication studies and sport management from Florida State in 2025, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management.
