Sam Logwood

Head coach Luke Loucks announced the hiring of Sam Logwood as director of video and scouting for the Florida State men's basketball program.
Logwood joins the Seminoles following a one-year stint at Cal State Bakersfield where he was an assistant coach for the Roadrunners.
Prior to CSU Bakersfield, he spent three seasons with the Sacramento Kings as their video coordinator as well as spent one year with the University of Oregon as a graduate assistant.
Logwood was a four-year starter (2014-18) for the University of New Mexico men’s basketball program where he accumulated 930 career points. As a senior, he led the Lobos in scoring with an average of 13 points per game.
Following his collegiate career, he played three years professionally, playing in the Philippines, China, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Luxembourg.
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Logwood was a national caliber recruit out of the powerhouse La Lumiere High School in Indiana. He was ranked among the top 150 prospects in the nation for the 2014 recruiting class by Rivals.com, also receiving national attention from ESPN’s recruiting services. In high school he averaged 17 points and six rebounds per game and was rated as one of the top players in the state of Indiana by various national recruiting services. Logwood was a highly touted recruit, being pursued by Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Wichita State prior to committing to the University of New Mexico.
A 2018 graduate of the University of New Mexico, Logwood earned a degree in communications with a minor in psychology.
