Sarah Petronio is in her 17th year working with Florida State student-athletes and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director of Student-Athlete Development in July of 2025.
In her current role, she facilitates programming and events to equip student-athletes with tools and skill sets to become effective leaders, engaged community members, and uniquely qualified professionals and is the sport administrator for volleyball.Â
She has served in several different roles in Student-Athlete Development over the past ten years. Prior to transitioning to Student-Athlete Development she worked in FSU’s Athletics Business Office for six years as an Accounting Specialist where she oversaw Sport Budgets and assisted with yearly audits.
Petronio graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Finance from Florida State’s College of Business in 2007 and also received her MBA while working in the Athletics Business Office in 2011.
Petronio played volleyball for the Seminoles from 2003-2007. She was captain for two years and S.A.A.C. President her senior year, roles which helped develop and connect her experience as a former Seminole athlete to her current role in Student-Athlete Development.
Petronio and her husband, Daniel, have four children: Maryrose, Annie Grace, Noah & Hannah Beth.
