Wendy Byers began her career at Florida State University in 1997, working in the Controller’s Office in the Travel and General Accounting departments. She was recruited by the FSU Athletics Department in 2000 to organize and streamline team travel payments and employee travel reimbursements. FSU Athletics travel operations are now a prime example of industry best practices, despite the massive increase in volume and post-season successes.
Before her tenure at FSU, Byers worked in the banking industry from 1987-1997.
In her current position, she assists in the wide variety of the day-to-day operations of the Business Office. She coordinates ACC/NCAA Reimbursements, manages game guarantees, and scrutinizes contracts for clarity and consistency, assuring terms fulfillment and timely payments.
Byers is a current member of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA). Wendy volunteers at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the local hospitals, enjoys sports and spending time with her family.
