Divers Gear Up for Zones

Live Results

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  – Seven Florida State divers will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the Zone B Championships from March 6-9 at the McAuley Aquatics Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Victoria Cervantes, Izzy Gregersen, Kayleigh Clark and Vivian Johnson will compete in all three women’s diving events, while Jesco Helling, Darwin Nolasco and David Vargas will dive in all three men’s.

“It’s been a long road to get here this season,” FSU head diving coach John Proctor said. “We’ve had some ups and downs along the way, but this is the meet that matters the most. This is our only shot to make it to NCAAs and our zone is one of the toughest  in the country. We’re ready. We’re looking good, and we’re ready to go.”

The women will compete on 1-meter on Sunday at 2 p.m., followed by 3-meter on Monday and platform on Tuesday.

The top 10 finishers after finals in both springboard events and the top nine on platform will join the swimmers at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships back in Atlanta from March 16-19.

The men’s competition will start on Monday with 1-meter, followed by 3-meter on Tuesday and platform on Wednesday.

The top eight on 1-meter, 11 on 3-meter and seven on platform will move on to the men’s meet, which is scheduled for March 23-27, also in Atlanta.

The top 18 from prelims in each event will advance to finals, with scores carrying over. Live scoring will be available via divemeets.com.
