The Demon Deacons entered Friday ranked in the Top 15 nationally in hits, home runs and runs scored, but Parrish, from Rockledge, Fla., allowed just three hits, walked one and struck out 10 in 7.0 innings. Over his last three outings, Parrish is 3-0 with a 0.00 earned run average. His ERA has dropped over two runs in that span, from 6.21 to 3.99.
Parrish has not given up an earned run in 21.0 innings, with just 11 hits allowed, four walks and 28 strikeouts against Clemson (12), Virginia (6) and Wake Forest (10). Parrish is just four strikeouts shy of 300 for his career. Friday’s game against the Demon Deacons was the left-hander’s seventh in his career with at least 10 strikeouts.
Parrish joins Conor Grady (April 15) as Seminoles to win the ACC Pitcher of the Week honor this year. Robby Martin (February 25) was the league’s player of the week earlier this season.
Louisville’s Alex Binelas is the current ACC Player of the Week.
