TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Redshirt junior Emily Madril caps off the first week of play by being named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. Madril helped lead the Noles to a pair of shutout wins over Notre Dame, 5-0, and Louisville, 1-0.
Madril played in her first games since November 19, 2017, after missing the previous two seasons due to knee injuries. In her first game back Madril scored the second goal of her career and first since October 5, 2017.
In the 38th minute, Madril gave the Noles a 2-0 lead over Notre Dame. She dribbled down the right side of the field uncontested before cutting to the middle of the box and firing one on the ground into the bottom left corner.
