ACC Names Whitaker Offensive Lineman Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. — For the second time this season, Florida State senior
offensive guard Jason Whitaker was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Whitaker, a native of Panama City, FL, graded out a team-best 95% in FSU’s
51-23 win over Duke. The All-American did not allow a sack, have a missed
assignement or get called for a penalty. Whitaker helped the FSU offense
score 44 first half points and record its first 500-yard game of the
season.
For the majority of the first half, Whitaker faced fellow Outland
Trophy candidate Chris Combs and held him in check as FSU scored on all
eight of its first half drives.
