Fans Attending FSU vs. Florida Football Game Can Help Hurricane Relief Effort

Football fans attending Florida State’s final home game against Florida on Saturday night will have a chance to help victims of this past hurricane season throughout the state. A cooperative effort between the Florida State Athletics Department, Seminole Boosters, Inc, and Aramark, which provides concession services throughout Doak Campbell Stadium, will provide special pricing on selected items from the concession stands. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of those items will be donated to the American Red Cross for their Hurricane Relief Fund.
“We wanted to do our part to help the many victims of hurricane damage in our state,” said Georgina Guillen general manager of Aramark. “The idea is not unique, but the cooperation between the Seminole Boosters and the Athletics Department made it happen. It was one of those ideas that is brought up to help others and everyone walks away from the table agreeing that it’s something we wanted to do.”
Florida State expects a near-record crowd for the game that will kickoff at 7:45 p.m. and will be nationally televised by ESPN.
