Hall of Fame Class: 1993 (Men's Tennis)

In just two seasons at Florida State (1986-1988), Dutch native Paul Haarhius established himself as one of the finest players in school history. Haarhuis won 24 consecutive matches and finished35-5 in singles and 25-5 in doubles play as a Seminole junior earning Metro Conference Tournament MVP honors in the process. He won the first ever Men’s Intercollegiate Invitational in Panama City, which brought him immediate national acclaim. He was selected to play in the NCAA singles championship as a junior and repeated the honor as a senior along with repeating as Metro Tournament MVP. He posted a two-year singles record of 72-9 at FSU and went on to a very successful professional career with singles wins over Boris Becker and John McEnroe.
