TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After winning four of five sets against UCF on Wednesday evening, the Florida State indoor volleyball team will host its spring tournament in Tully Gymnasium on Saturday.
The Seminoles are one four teams involved in the event, set to begin at 10:30 a.m., along with Troy, West Florida and USF. The complete schedule is as follows:

As for Wednesday’s meeting with the Knights, which took place at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida State was victorious by scores of 25-19, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21 and 16-14 in a predetermined five-set match. Florida State got a solid all-around performance on offense with a .420 hitting percentage and the defense contributed 18 total blocks.
Christina Ambrose was the leader among individuals for Florida State with 18 kills and a .290 attack percentage. She was followed closely on offense by Milica Kubura (11 kills, .270 attack pct.), Katie Horton (8, .320), Melanie Keil (8, .260). Cecilie Woie anchored the defensive effort with 15 digs, while Katie Horton contributed 10.
“Overall it was a productive match against UCF,” said head coach Chris Poole. “We are slim with depth this spring, but the players are working hard and we are speeding up on offense. We are excited with our improvement and we are seeing individual progress which is our main objective in the spring.”
