Noles Go 4-0 at Beach Burrow Bash

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 5 Florida State beach volleyball team earned two more wins on Saturday to go 4-0 at FAU’s Beach Burrow Bash. The Seminoles swept No. 10 South Carolina and earned a 4-1 win over the hosting No. 18 Owls to improve to a 6-1 conference record.
FSU has now earned five straight CCSA wins and six ranked wins. The team’s 14-0 record over South Carolina stands as the most wins the Seminoles have seen against any team in program history.
The Seminoles returned to a similar lineup to the first weekend of competition, with senior Macy Jerger paired up with freshman Jenna Johnson in the No. 5 position. The team saw a 17-3 pairs record over the weekend with, the duo of Chacon/Fitzpatrick going undefeated in all four matches.
Florida State returns to action next week for full slate of top-ranked competition in California. The Seminoles will face Long Beach State and USC in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 7), and will take on Pepperdine, Hawaii, USC and UCLA in the Bruins’ East Meets West Invitational at the Manhattan Beach Pier on March 9-10.
