No. 5 Beach Volleyball Splits Day One of FSU Challenge

TALLAHASSEE – No. 5 Florida State began their final weekend at home with a complete match sweep versus Jacksonville, followed by a 2-3 loss to last year's national runner-up No. 8 Loyola Marymount.
To open the FSU Challenge, the Seminoles took JU in only two sets per court. Iane Henke and Kenzie Hultquist managed sets at 21-9 and 21-2, outscoring the Dolphins by 31 points on court five. Audrey Rothman and Jordan Boulware completed the dual sweep on court three, defeating Jacksonville 21-19, 21-10.
In their second match of the day, FSU dropped three sets to LMU. Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish took two sets at 21-13 on court one, following Bailey Higgins and Myriah Massey scoring the first dual point on court five (21-13, 21-15).
The FSU Challenge continues Saturday with a match versus Southern Miss at 10 am and another faceoff against No. 8 LMU at 1:45 pm. Live stats are available on Seminoles.com.
