TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Redshirt senior diver Joshua Davidson was named the ACC Male Diver of the Week following his performance against Auburn on Friday at the Morcom Aquatics Center.
Davidson’s two victories helped the No. 15 FSU men’s swimming and diving team defeat Auburn (153-147) for the second time in program history.
“Josh is really doing a great job,” FSU head diving coach John Proctor said. “He’s back for this last lap with some great enthusiasm and goals for his final year. It’s been a great four years and I feel really lucky we get one more with him.”
Davidson led a one-two finish for the Noles on 3-meter, winning with a total of 371.70, which was 35.55 points ahead of second place.
On 1-meter, Davidson won the event by 27.75 points, scoring 355.05, helping the Seminoles seal the win over the Tigers.
This is the first ACC Diver of the Week honor of the season for Davidson and seventh of his career.
No.15/RV Florida State will hit the road to face No. 19/NR Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. on Oct. 23.
