Noles Earn USTFCCCA XC All-Academic Honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State cross country teams were recognized by the USTFCCCA as All-Academic Teams for the 2020 season.
Overall, there were 199 men’s teams and 233 women’s teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
“Our top athletes always seem to be our best students,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “I’m really proud of our young men.”
The women’s team earned its 11th-straight honor, while the men earn their first since 2018.
Additionally, eight members of the women’s team were recognized individually, which was the most in the country.

“What a fantastic showing for the women,” FSU head coach Kelly Phillips said. “Every time I think they can’t get any better, they prove me wrong.”
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have either qualified for the national championship meet or finished top-5 at their respective conference championship.
