Six Noles Recognized on All-ACC Academic Team

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Six members of the Florida State cross country teams were selected to the All-ACC Academic Cross Country teams on Tuesday.
Caleb Pottorff***, Florida State, Jr., Exercise Physiology
Paul Stafford**, Florida State, Jr., Sport Management
Rebecca Clark, Florida State, So., Exercise Physiology
Addi Coggins**, Florida State, Jr., Marketing
Elizabeth Funderburk***, Florida State, Jr., Marketing
Maudie Skyring***, Florida State, Sr., Exercise Physiology
“I’m really proud of Paul and Caleb,” FSU head men’s cross country coach Bob Braman said. “They take their academics as serious as they do their athletics and this is such a great honor for two very deserving young men.”
Funderburk, Skyring and Pottorff made team for the third time, while Coggins, Stafford earned their second nods. Clark receives the honor for the first time in her career.
“It’s so enjoyable, being a coach, seeing your student-athletes take their academics as serious as their athletics!” FSU head women’s cross country coach Kelly Phillips said.
This year’s ACC Men’s and Women’s All-ACC Academic Cross Country Teams include a combined 39 All-ACC runners and 13 All-Americans which include Coggins, Funderburk, Skyring and Clark.
Clark, Coggins and Skyring were recognized as USTFCCCA XC All-Academic honoree while helping the No. 15 women’s team to its 11th-straight honor. Pottorff and Stafford led the way for the men’s team to capture USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors for the first time since 2018.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
