USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards have become a popular spot offering some of the best travel destinations throughout the world for a variety of categories.
Florida State Athletics, through its collection of competitive teams across all 20 sports, has built a passionate fan base among several of its programs. Football earned a Top 10 finish last season in the final Coaches' Poll after going 10-3 and defeating Oklahoma in the Cheez-It-Bowl, which drew 5.4 million viewers on ESPN.
FSU Football continues to establish itself as one of the nation's most powerful and popular brands. Since 2014, the Seminoles lead all ACC teams in average viewership with 3.09 million viewers per game. Last season, they were also part of the third-most viewed opening Sunday game ever (vs. LSU), the second-most watched Friday night game since 2018 (at Louisville) and the most watched Friday game on ABC since 2005 (vs. Florida).
The Seminoles had five programs earn Top five national finishes in the 2022-23 academic year. Softball once again attracted a nationwide audience by finishing as national-runner ups at the Women's College World Series, while Soccer reached its fourth College Cup in the last five years and was a national semifinalist.
Both Softball and Soccer won ACC titles in the 2022-23 year.
Men's Golf was also among the last four in its tremendous 2023 spring season, getting to the NCAA Match Play Semifinals at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Women's Golf program had another outstanding season by getting to the NCAA Match Play Quarterfinals.
Beach Volleyball also reached the national semifinals at the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship held in Gulf Shores, Ala.
FSU's collective and sustained success was reflected again in 2022-23 with the program's sixth consecutive Top 20 finish in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup at 17th.
Florida State University continues to be a Top 20 national public university according to U.S News and World Report.
