2023 Cross Country Schedule Set
8/3/2023 10:57:00 AM | Cross Country, Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State cross country teams will race nine meets in 2023 before the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Similar to the 2022 season, the Seminoles will start the year in Boone, North Carolina, before racing in two of the top meets in the nation ahead of the postseason. For the second time in its history, the Apalachee Regional Park will host the ACC Championships.
"I'm really excited about our schedule," FSU head coach Bob Braman said. "The Piane and Nuttycomb invites are two of the best in the country during the regular season, and we get to host the ACC Championship at home on our world-class course. This is a schedule that will position our teams well for the post-season."
FSU will split the squad three times in 2023. On Sept. 15, Florida State will field teams at both the Covered Bridge Open and at the Florida Mountain Dew Invite in Gainesville.
Florida State will host the annual FSU XC Invite on Sept. 29 while some members will also compete in the Joe Piane Invite. The Seminoles will return up north for the Nuttycombe Invite on Oct. 13 in Madison, Wisconsin, while part of the squad races at the Alabama Invite.
Following the ACC Championships at home, the Seminoles will head to Gainesville for the NCAA South Region Championships on Nov. 10, looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia on Nov. 18.
