TALLAHASSEE – Florida State is partnering with Monarc, a sports robotics company, by utilizing the Seeker to maximize on-field training at practices throughout the season.

"We're thrilled to welcome Florida State University to the Monarc Family," co-founder Bhargav Maganti said. "This partnership highlights FSU's commitment to elevating their athlete experience and staying on the cutting edge of football."

The Seeker is a robotic quarterback, kicker and punter that can emulate any type of game-like action, allowing athletes to train by themselves. With an endless supply of passes, it generates unlimited practice opportunities and enables players to get the reps they need on offense, defense and special teams.

"The Monarc is really precise," FSU running backs coach and recruiting coordinator David Johnson said. "It can throw so many passes in a short period of time, and that's what you want. Now the guys are getting more work in and the Monarc has been great for every position."

In addition to satisfying a player's demand for more reps, the Seeker allows footballs to be thrown without the help of someone continually feeding the machine. The system also tracks and athletes' position on the field to throw the ball at a specific speed, location and position on a player's body.

The Seeker has a user-friendly touchscreen interface along with a six-ball magazine that allows you to throw, punt or kick up to six balls in twelve seconds with pinpoint accuracy, eliminating wasted reps while drastically increasing practice efficiency.
