TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State's Charlotte Heath shot a 72-hole score of 280 and finished in a tie for 14th place at Stage I of LPGA and Epson Tour Qualifying School at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Cal., and has advanced to Stage II of Q-School. The Seminole All-American will play in Stage II of Q-School at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla. (Oct. 17-20). Heath was one of 28 players in the field to card scores of even par or better in each of the four rounds. She totaled 19 birdies and only 11 birdies over the four days of play – she carded nearly 85 percent of her total holes (61 of 72) at par or better.
"I felt like my game was in a good place," said Heath. "There is still a lot more work to be done off the tee, but overall I'm happy with the week and looking forward to stage two."
