ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -  The No. 16 Florida State women's golf team finished the Coach Mo Classic in second place on Tuesday at the St.Johns Club. The Seminoles closed the tournament with a round of 2-under, 268 to finish at 4-over, 868.

"We did a good job today," FSU head coach Amy Bond said.  "It was the best round of the week for us. We had a little trouble early, but we really locked in on the back nine and finished four under on the final five holes.  That was huge for us and overall, the tournament was a success."

Sophia Fullbrook earned her second straight victory, tying for the win at 4-under, 212. It was her sixth top 10 performance of her sophomore season and eighth of her career.  With back-to-back wins, Fullbrook matches the effort by Mirabel Ting in 2025, who also posted consecutive stroke play wins.  Ting won three straight to start the 2024-25 season and also won the Briars Creek Invitational and Florida State Match Up in the spring in back-to-back outings.

After slipping to third on the front nine, Fullbrook fought for birdie on the 15th hole to move back in contention. After moving back to tie for the lead, Fullbrook finished the day 1-over, 73.

Haruhi Nakatani turned in the best round for the Seminoles on Tuesday, posting 3-under, 69.  Nakatani registered back-to-back birdies on holes eight and nine and added two more after making the turn. She finished in ninth place at even par, 216,  producing her third top 10 showing of her freshman season.

Alexandra Gazzoli had a strong finish to the tournament, carding three birdies in the final nine holes to post 2-under, 70 for the round. Gazzoli jumped 11 spots on the leaderboard and finished the tournament in 17th place at 4-over, 220.

Finishing at 2-over, 74 for the day was Haley Davis, who carded three birdies on the day and finished the tournament in 45th place at 12-over, 222.

Layla Pedrique, who is playing as an individual and Freya Russell tied for 36th at 10-over, 226.

The Seminoles will travel to the 2026 ACC Championship, which will be held at the Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, starting on April 16.
