Pak, Del Solar Earn 2025 PGA Tour Cards

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida State men's golf team members John Pak and Cristobal Del Solar earned their 2025 PGA Tour Cards following their performances on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour. Del Solar placed 14th in the rankings on Sunday, while Pak took 23rd. Both earned their cards after finishing within the top 30 in the season-long standings.
Originally from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Pak graduated in 2021 from Florida State University as the most highly decorated player in program history. He ended his collegiate career with eight tournament wins, tying the program record (Nolan Henke). Pak also holds the all-time career average for an FSU golfer at 69.87.
In 2021, Pak won the Fred Haskins, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus awards, which are given to the top male collegiate golfer in the United States. He was also the ACC Player of the Year.
Pak was a two-time Golf Coaches Association of America first-team All-American and finished first in the PGA Tour University Class ranking.
Pak was the low amateur at the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club.
Pak joined the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021 and most recently won the 2024 Compliance Solutions Championship with an impressive 23-under par.
Originally from Renaca, Vina del Mar, Chile, Del Solar also left Florida State as a decorated amateur golfer after graduating in 2017.
During his collegiate career he earned multiple top 10 marks in scoring average (72.10 – seventh), par or better rounds (53 – seventh), career rounds played (116 – ninth), finish percentages (70.3 percent – ninth), birdies (352 –eighth), and eagles (nine – tied for sixth).
Additionally, Del Solar won the Cabarrus County Irish Creek Intercollegiate in 2017, earned a spot on the All-ACC team in 2016, and had a stroke average in that ranked in the top-20 of the ACC in the 2013-14 season.
In July of 2024, Del Solar placed first in 2024 The Ascendant presented by Blue tournament, with a 22-under par score. He becomes the third Chilean in history to earn a PGA Tour membership via the Korn Ferry Tour.
Del Solar carded the lowest round in PGA TOUR-sanctioned history, a 13-under 57, in the first round of the 2024 Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard at Country Club de Bogota. The round also tied the Korn Ferry Tour record for lowest 18-hole score relative to par.
The 2025 PGA Tour is set to start on December 30th in Lahaina, Hawaii, and will conclude on August 24th in Atlanta, Georgia.
