No. 10 Men’s Golf Set for Hamptons Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No.10 Florida State men's golf team will compete at the Hamptons Intercollegiate at the Maidstone Club in Long Island, New York, from Oct. 7-8. The event will be hosted by Loyola University Maryland.
The Seminoles will tee off the 54-hole tournament on Monday at 7:35 a.m. at the first hole. Team will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday, teeing off from holes one and 10.
Florida State is one of three ranked teams competing in the 12-squad field, and will be represented by Luke Clanton, Gray Albright, Carson Brewer, Jack Bigham and Tyler Weaver in the play-five, court-four format. Michael Mays will compete individually.

The Seminoles finished tied for ninth at the Fighting Illini Invitational at the Olympia Fields Country Club, where 12 of the 15 teams in the field carried a top 25 ranking.
Clanton registered rounds of 70 and 69 in the second and third rounds to shoot a 3-under 207. Albright tied for 22nd (212), Carson Brewer tied for 32nd (214) and Mays finished tied for 48th (217).
Noles in the National Rankings
After taking the No.1 spot in the World Golf Amateur Ranking in August, Claton remains on top in week 39.
Albright currently sits 20th in the PGA Tour University Ranking in week 39.
