ON WEAVER
The ACC Freshman of the Year in 2024 who has an incredibly bright future ahead of him at Florida State…Became Florida State’s first ACC Freshman of the Year since John Pak in 2018, and the sixth of Florida State’s freshmen of the year winners (Brooks Koepka, 2009; Hank Lebioda, 2013; Jack Maguire, 2014; Pak, 2018; Weaver, 2024)…gained an incredible amount of experience as he played in 11 of Florida State’s 14 events as a freshman…played in in his first collegiate event at the Folds of Honor Collegiate…enjoyed a standout all-around year on the course as he was named as the ACC Freshman of the Year and to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Men’s Golf team and to the 2024 ACC Academic Honor Roll…he earned Florida State academic Dean’s List honors in the spring of 2024.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2025)
Named as a preseason Third-Team All-American by the Golf Channel...helped Florida State to a sixth place finish in the team standings at the fall season-opening Folds of Honor Collegiate...a first round score of 72 had him in a tie for 15th place following the first round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate...birdied three of his last seven holes -- including holes 17 and 18 -- to move into second place among his Florida State teammates...carded an 82 in the second round as was in a tie for 52nd place after two rounds of play at the FOH...scores of 72-82-74 gave him a score of 228 and a tied for 51st place individual finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate...finished tied at sixth in the Watersound Invitational 5-under par, 211 with five birdies in the third round...claimed first at the Cabo Collegiate with a final score eight under-par with 205 total strokes...tied for 19th at the Seminole Intercollegiate scoring one-over par, 211 with an ace on the 16th hole...Finished 25th in the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial finishing 4-over, 217...finished second at the ACC Championship at 8-under, 208...went 1-1 in match play, defeating Kuangyu Chen of California 4&3...tied for seventh at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional and finished tied for 44th at the NCAA Championship...qualified for the 125th U.S. Open after placing third at the Piedmont Driving Club qualification site in Atlanta...finished fourth among amateurs and tied for 80th overall at the U.S. Open...competed in the Arnold Palmer Cup leading Team International to victory over Team USA...helped England win bronze at the European Amateur Team Championship where he set the course record for an amateur for a single round shooting 63 at the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club...helped England & Ireland bring home the St. Andrews Links Trophy...advanced to match play at the U.S. Amateur Championship...earned Dean's List honors and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for At-Large sports.
AS A FRESHMAN (2024)
Finished his freshman year with a 71.71 scoring average…earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors and named to the All-ACC Team…finished an impressive 5-1 in match play…was 3-0 against UNC, Georgia Tech and Auburn in match play during the NCAA Tournament…earned two top 10 finishes in his 11 tournaments played…finished second overall at the 2024 Seminole Intercollegiate, and placed seventh at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational…carded nine rounds in the 60s...earned Dean's List honors for the Spring.
