TALLAHASSEE - Khori Louis became just the second FSU player ever to be named the AVCA National Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Louis joins Taryn Knuth as the only Noles to earn AVCA National Player of the Week as Knuth won the award on February 17, 2021. Louis was also named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week yesterday for the first time in her career.

Louis had a phenomenal weekend in the Noles' two wins against No. 15 Georgia Tech and Clemson. Louis finished the weekend with 35 kills on 53 attempts for a .604 hitting percentage. Louis tied her career high with 20 kills against Clemson on senior day while adding 15 kills in the upset win over No. 15 Georgia Tech. Defensively, Louis recorded nine blocks in the two matches.

Louis continues to have one of the most efficient seasons in the entire country as she is hitting .417 which ranks second in the ACC and 13th in the entire country. Louis is well on her way to breaking Florida State's career hitting percentage record as she currently holds a .380 career hitting percentage which passes Brianna Barry's .371 career hitting percentage.

Louis and the Seminoles will be back in action tomorrow against No. 10 SMU at noon on ACCNX.
