TALLAHASSEE - Winners of six of its last seven games, Florida State Women's Basketball comes into Thursday's big 8 p.m. road matchup at No. 22 Louisville as one of the hottest teams in the ACC. Only league opponents Virginia Tech (7-0) and Syracuse (6-1) have held equal or better records over their last seven games.

FSU and Louisville will air on the ACC Network.

Sophomore guard Ta'Niya Latson has produced another outstanding season, having to follow up on a star-studded freshman year. She ranks in the Top 10 in the league in scoring (4th; 21.67), assists (7th; 4.33) and free throw percentage (2nd; 85.7%). She joins only Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo in ranking in the Top 10 in the league in those categories. Latson owns 17 games this season with 20+ points, tied for the third most in the ACC.

The Seminoles go for their fourth AP Top 25 win of the season, owning ranked wins over No. 11 Tennessee (92-91), No. 20 UNC (70-62) and No. 11 Virginia Tech (89-81). A win over the 22nd-ranked Cardinals would give FSU its most ranked wins in a season since having six in 2019-20.
The wild ACC standings include a four-way tie for third place between FSU, Notre Dame, NC State and Louisville with 11-5 conference records. Following FSU's road game at Louisville, it will host Clemson on Sunday at 4 p.m. on Senior Day in a game where Alexis Tucker and Sara Bejedi will be recognized .

Junior forward Makayla Timpson is two double-doubles shy of breaking Natasha Howard's single-season record (15 in 2013-14), totaling 14 this season. She is also 11 blocks away from breaking former player Jacinta Monroe's single-season record of 84 in the 2008-09 season. Timpson has 73 blocks this year. Timpson is the only ACC player this season who has shot 100 percent from the floor on 10 made field goals, going 10-of-10 at Clemson on Jan. 7.

FSU is one of 30 programs nationally with 10 or more wins vs. the current NET Top 100. The Noles own 10 wins vs. those schools. FSU owns 10 consecutive winning seasons in ACC play, clinching another one with its 10th conference win at Wake Forest on Feb. 15.

The Seminoles are coming off an 84-71 win vs. Boston College last Thursday where they tied a season high with 54 points in the paint.

FSU owns a 19-17 record vs. Louisville, including a 7-5 record vs. the Cardinals since they joined the ACC in the 2014-15 season. The Seminoles join Louisville and Notre Dame among ACC programs that have made 17 of the last 18 NCAA Tournaments.
