TALLAHASSEE – In celebration of what will be its 11th consecutive NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament selection, Florida State Women's Basketball is inviting the general public to the Tucker Center on Sunday, March 17, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The Selection Show on ESPN begins at 8 p.m. and can be viewed on the main Tucker Center videoboard. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the FSU Women's Basketball team will sign autographs from 7:30 p.m.-7:50 p.m. before the selection show begins.
The Seminoles own a 23-10 overall record as well as an impressive 12-6 mark in the ACC, which is so deep in quality teams it could get nine bids on Sunday night. FSU made its seventh trip to the ACC Tournament Semifinals after defeating 20th-ranked and third-seeded Syracuse, 78-65, on Friday night at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Led by All-ACC First Team performers Ta'Niya Latson and Makayla Timpson, FSU earned six Top 50 NET wins so far this season – more than its five victories in the same category last year. FSU is also 9-3 over its last 12 games and 7-3 over its last 10 games – a key metric for the NCAA Committee.
Full details on FSU's NCAA Selection bid will be announced late Sunday night, with ticket information being provided early in the upcoming week.
