Clanton, Noles Lead at Valspar

PALM CITY - The No. 11 Florida State Men's Golf team put together a scintillating first two rounds at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, leading by six strokes at 10-under at Floridian Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
Sophomore Luke Clanton leads all golfers at 9-under (65-68), ahead by two strokes over UNC's Austin Greaser. Clanton is looking to win his second consecutive tournament after winning the Seminole Intercollegiate two weeks ago.
Clanton's first-round 65 included an eagle on the par-5, 539-yard 15th hole.In his second round, he delivered four consecutive birdies on the front nine.
Wake Forest is in second place at 4-under, followed by Arizona State and Vanderbilt tying for third at 3-under and Arkansas in fifth at 2-under.
Senior Gray Albright is tied for eighth at 3-under (70-69). In his second round, he was unblemished with two birdies and 16 pars recorded.
Redshirt senior Cole Anderson and senior Frederik Kjettrup are tied for 22nd at 1-over each.
Tuesday's final round will begin for all golfers with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
