TALLAHASSEE - The No. 17 Florida State men's tennis team begins the postseason in Cary, North Carolina for the 2024 ACC Men's Tennis Championship, held from April 17-21 at Cary Tennis Park. The Seminoles qualified as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 11 seed Virginia Tech in the second round Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

FSU defeated the Hokies 6-1 at home earlier this season and are on a current three-match winning streak in the series. The Seminoles are 1-1 against Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship and 4-0 overall in the second round since the expansion of the league in 2014.

Florida State finished the regular season 17-7 and 7-5 in ACC play. The Seminoles finished with eight total road wins which was their highest number since 1984. FSU has 11 wins against teams currently ranked, highlighted by victories over No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 12 Mississippi State, No. 22 Alabama, and No. 25 Florida.

Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc leads the team as the No. 4 player in the nation and the top-ranked singles player in the ACC. He holds a 19-2 record in singles with 13 ranked wins throughout the campaign and 16 straight-set wins. Youcef Rihane, Jamie Connel, and Alex Bulte also have reached double-digit singles victories.

Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif finished the regular season with a strong top-50 victory at Miami to earn their fifth ranked win of the season. The pair currently reside at No. 22 in the rankings as the team's No. 1 duo while Loris Pourroy and Rihane finished with 15 doubles victories as a pair.

The full championship pass is marked at $25 while single-day tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $7 for youth 17 years and younger. Admission is free for ACC students with a school ID and children 9 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/11254.
