TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women's basketball team was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association as a special mention for the 2023-24 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.

The Seminoles posted a grade point average of 3.41 for the season, turning in the top mark in the ACC. FSU also turned in a GPA of 3.492 in Fall 2023, which was the highest for a semester in program history.

"One of the things we take most seriously at Florida State women's basketball is our dedication in the classroom," FSU head coach Brooke Wyckoff said. "I am so proud of the hard work our student-athletes have put into earning the highest GPA in the ACC while pursuing degrees in a wide variety of fields and majors."

To qualify for the honor, teams must have a combined 3.0 GPA for consideration. Those programs listed outside of the top 25 for NCAA Division I earned special mention.

In addition to WBCA recognition, 10 student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 ACC Academic Honor Roll, including Amaya Bonner, O'Mariah Gordon, Ta'Niya Latson, Makayla Timpson, Avery Treadwell, Mariana Valenzuela and Carla Viegas, who return for the 2024-25 season.

Bonner, Gordon, Latson, Timpson, Treadwell and Viegas were also a part of the 2023-24 All-ACC Academic Team.
