TALLAHASSEE - Lara Dantas has been selected to the 21-person roster for the Brazilian U-20 Women's National Team for the upcoming 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia. Dantas will become the first Seminole to represent Brazil at the international level.

Dantas scored seven goals and dished three assists during her time with the Fluminense FC Women's U-18 Team before coming to the United States and playing at IMG Academy for four seasons.

The freshman has represented Brazil at the U-17 and U-20 levels, scoring two goals at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and now set to appear in her second youth Women's World Cup with Brazil. Dantas played a huge role in securing the CONMEBOL Sub20 Femenina Championship for Brazil, leading the competition with six assists in seven appearances.

Brazil has qualified for all 11 editions of the tournament and looks to better its third place finish from 2022. Brazil will play in Group B and open against debutants Fiji on August 31.
